We all know that Twitter did several updates on their API (Application Programming Interface) as a result, many websites who had its Twitter timeline integrated successfully in the past are no longer working today.
For WordPress sites, most of the plugins that are intended for this functionality are no longer suitable. I have tried a lot of them and it's really frustrating knowing that you did all the installation instruction ask you to do to no avail.
This might be a good news for you, it is to me, that you can add twitter timeline without a plugin or background in programming. Just go to Twitter settings page and you will see the page as the below image:

Just click on the "Widgets" in the left panel. Next is click the "Create New" button in the upper right panel. Please see the next image below:

Once you have created a new widget, you can now select your options:

Leave the settings as default and click the "Create Widget" button. A embed code will appear at the bottom of the Twitter timeline preview. Copy and paste it to your site.

If you're using blogger, go to layout and add a gadget. Select the "HTML/JavaScriptAdd" widget then paste the embed code then save. For WordPress, go to admin dashboard. Drag and drop the "text" widget in the "Primary" sidebar. Paste the code and the save.
That's it. Let me know how it works for you in the comment below. Thanks.
